So, a while ago I bought a used Trac-Loc off e-bay. Although this unit came out of a Ranger with 22,000 miles on it, I am going to rebuild it.

The question is what do I need? I know that I need a clutch pack rebuild kit and everything needed to do that. But I also need to replace the bearings on the outside of the unit as they are rusty.

Is this the thing to buy?

That is a bearing/oil seal kit from Rockauto.com. It is $70.00

Am I correct or as far away as possible from what I really need?

make sure if its a ranger diff it is an 8.8 most rangers got 7.5's up till around 93 i think and only the v6's got the 8.8's up till 96 or somthing. IIRC. however yes you need that and the clutch pack. a new pin and bolt for the pin would be a good investment and you will need a press to get the berrings on and off.
