if you are talkin about the keypad on the driver door open the trunk and on one of the hinge arms there should be a sticker with a 5 digit number on it. again if youre talking about the keypad code that is it.

If you don't find the sticker on the trunk lid arms, the code will be on the module inside the driver's door.

Slip off the driver's door panel. On the bottom right side of the door, below the speaker, will be a black box mounted door. This is the module that controls your keyless entry. On that module will be a white label with several different numbers. The large bold 5-digit number is your keyless entry code.

How big of a deal is it to pull the door panel off?

I just bought a 2004 Crown Vic as well and have the same problem.
